About This Role
Provides academic and practicum instruction within the School of Nursing. Plans coordinates, and conducts classroom and practicum experiences for students. Reports to Director of Undergraduate Nursing Studies or Director of Graduate Studies (depending on course taught) and the School of Nursing Chair.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED (E=Essential):
E 1. Maintains academic standards as established by the School of Nursing, college, and university.
E 2. Teaches students in practicum, laboratory, and classroom settings.
E 3. Participates in planning and organization of courses to which assigned.
E 4. Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of course activities.
E 5. Plans professional development activities for self, such as continuing education offerings, workshops, professional meetings, etc.
E 6. Participates in program and School of Nursing activities associated with professional status.
E 7. Maintains membership in and participates in activities of professional associations.
E 8. Incorporates new knowledge and techniques in practicum, classroom, and laboratory teaching.
E 9. Displays a scholarly orientation to the assumption of the responsibilities of a university faculty member:
