Posting Number : 2022169 Position Title : Assistant Professor FTE : 1.0 Salary : Commensurate Job Summary / Basic Function : About This Role : A combination of academic qualifications, research and teaching abilities What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities : Teach HRM courses such as Human Resource Management, Advanced Organizational Behavior, Personal and Team Leadership, and Compensation Management. Candidate must be able to teach other closely aligned courses if required. Mentoring students and advising student organizations are required. Research and publish in scholarly journals, preferably ABDC ranked ones. Candidate must also stay active in the discipline by presenting at conferences. Service demonstrated by active participation in department, college, and university committees Key Competencies : Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching Demonstrated potential for excellence in scholarship Evidence of engagement in institutional, community, and / or professional endeavors Skill in developing course materials, syllabi, and assessments. Proficiency in employing various teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises. Capacity to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills in students. Communication Skills : Excellent oral and written communication skills for effectively presenting ideas, concepts, and research findings. Leadership and Teamwork : Capability to work collaboratively within academic departments and interdisciplinary teams. Leadership skills in guiding student organizations, research groups, or academic committees. Capacity to contribute to departmental initiatives, curriculum development, and accreditation processes. ABD candidates will be considered; however, an earned doctorate in in business with specialization in Human Resources, or closely related field, from an AACSB accredited institution is a necessary condition for contract renewal. ABD candidates will be hired into a terminal appointment at the rank of Instructor with a rate determined at the time of hire. Upon degree conferral during the terminal period, the contracted appointment with the rank of Assistant Professor will be reinstated. The ability to teach the HRM courses such as Human Resource Management, Advanced Organizational Behavior, Personal and Team Leadership, and Compensation Management is required. Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience) : Previous experience with delivering online learning content, and familiarity with course management software, such as Blackboard.
