Banquet Captain

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Captain to oversee and manage banquet events in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to ensure exceptional service during events. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for assisting in supervising staff, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams, and ensuring that all aspects of the banquet operations run smoothly.

Duties

• Supervise and lead banquet staff during events to ensure high-quality service.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
• Manage shift operations, including set-up, service, and breakdown of events.
• Oversee food handling procedures to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
• Provide training and guidance to new staff members on service standards.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during events.
• Collaborate with event planners to ensure all details are executed as planned.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in fine dining or banquet settings.
• Strong supervisory skills with experience in shift management.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
