Position: Communications and Engagement Coordinator
Accountable to: Church Secretary and the Pastor
Part-time position
Purpose: To serve the church by providing contemporary and winsome media and communications for congregational worship and community engagement in an ever more visual culture.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop and oversee electronic marketing communications intended to increase the congregation membership and student enrollment
2. Take an active roll in the website monitoring and social media point person
3. Engage in our community to make Lamb of God Church and School known in the community
4. Proofread all materials for accuracy and professional presentation.
5. Assist in developing and producing graphic and art material including monthly newsletter
Assisting in various office responsibilities, including:
1. Assist the church secretary in those duties as needed
2. Cross-train to be able to assist the church secretary when she is away
3. Attend regular staff meetings.
4. Cooperate with the Church Secretary and Pastor by performing any other duties.
Qualifications
1. Proficiency with church equipment, hardware, software and systems and social media.
2. Creativity to develop new systems, procedures, technology recommendations.
3. Knowledge and ability to learn and grow to keep all communications as relevant and engaging as possible.
4. Previous work experience or technical studies in computer use and design
5. An ability to maintain confidentiality.
6. An ability to train volunteers and delegate work.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
