Job Summary:
Serving as the primary point of contact at wellness events, this role will assist an established wellness team with executing programming and numerous events both large and small. Some events will be held in-house, while others will be done in partnership with vendors and healthcare providers. Making sure wellness initiatives and goals are moved forward through the dissemination of prepared communications is another key aspect of the position as the Wellness program strives to reach its diverse and dispersed workforce. Ultimately the goal is to enhance employee health awareness and promotes new initiatives by implementing a wide variety of health and wellness programs for both the mind and body.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serves as primary Wellness representative at Wellness events. Supports the wellness program through direct engagement and employee interaction.
- Supports Wellness events such as health assessments/screenings, internal physical activity challenges, external physical activity, community service activities (bike rides, breast cancer walks, runs, etc.) and other mental and financial programs targeted in the company’s health and wellness strategy.
- Coordinates registration and attendance related tracking.
- Interacts and communicates with event providers, hosts, participants, speakers, etc. to coordinate a smooth and successful event.
- Champions the execution of Wellness Team leads or partner events for maximum positive outcomes.
- Provides post-event follow-up to attendees and non-attendees.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining pre- and post-event reporting and administrative functions.
- Assists in the coordination and delivery of seminars and “Fairs,” promoting employee healthy lifestyles and increased participation in the various Wellness Program initiatives. Coordinates the activities of the wellness program, its vendors, healthcare carriers and/or consultants as they pertain to delivering the Wellness programs.
- Implements and maintains health promotion/wellness programs and events by benchmarking successful external programs and staying current with best practices to drive continuous improvement of employee health and decrease employer costs on a year over year basis.
NOTE: Wellness events may occur outside “normal” business hours and on weekends.
Provides field support for the Wellness program and assists with the planning and delivery of Wellness programs and marketing materials.
- Interacts and engages with all levels of the organization and their families to improve engagement, increase wellness and productivity and reduce healthcare costs.
- Effectively promotes and markets the wellness program to target populations by utilizing resources. Regularly updates the organization on wellness initiatives to build excitement and grow participation in upcoming programs. This includes one-on-one engagement as a Wellness Ambassador, in group settings such as at New Employee Orientation and other employee groups, or to larger parts of the organization or the public to promote, engage and inform others about the Wellness program.
- Translates identified health needs of the company’s employee population into creative, high-energy, high-visibility solutions.
- Implement programs designed to encourage employees and their families to adopt healthy lifestyles. Suggested initiatives may include, behavior change programs (weight loss, lifestyle coaching), activity programs, smoking cessation, diabetes/blood pressure control programs, sleep apnea, walks, financial management, campaigns (lunch-n-learns, workshops), biometric screening events, incentive programs, special projects and more.
Performs support functions as necessary to ensure a successful wellness program.
- Assists with the related administrated functions associated with various aspects of the Wellness program as well as with the communication efforts it.
- Tracks attendance, participation, or performance data related to wellness events.
- Conducts and analyzes employee health challenges using all available internal health care data such as health assessment results, claims utilization data, employee survey data, and other data as appropriate to create wellness programs or initiatives that meet the Authority’s needs, goals, and budget.
- Maintains records on programs and activities and prepares and distributes reports.
- Prepares reports on program participation and outcomes and makes suggestions for process improvements.

- Keeping abreast of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to health and wellness programs to ensure Authority compliance.
- Designing and recommending enhancements to new and existing Wellness programs that remain cost effective and consistent with industry trends and corporate goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a Clinical or Health Related Field such as Exercise, Nutrition, Nursing, or Public Health Management
- Prior experience with wellness or other benefits program design and implementation. Applied experience administering an Employee Wellness Program or similar healthcare field experience is preferred.
- Experience managing vendor relationships desired.
- Experience as a project manager or a project management certification preferred.
- Required to possess a valid and current Driver’s License.

Working Conditions:
- General office environment.
- When attending events or traveling to various field locations subject to normal garage and shop working conditions such as noise, dust, grease, moving vehicles, etc., and exposure to prevailing weather conditions.
- May require working some early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
