What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Projects Team position at Lambrecht Auction?
Company Overview
Lambrecht Auction, Inc. is dedicated to fostering a unique and personal work environment where our core values guide our operations and hiring decisions. We believe that our team is essential to our growth, and we prioritize creating a culture that emphasizes integrity, urgency, and attention to detail.
About the Role
We’re looking for a self-driven, highly organized professional to join our team in a Special Projects role focused on solving problems, improving systems, and leading initiatives that help us grow smarter and operate better.
If you're someone who thrives on challenges, loves building things from the ground up, and enjoys working across departments to make real impact—this role was built for you.
This is not a traditional job. You won’t be handed a task list—you’ll help create it. Each project you take on will make our work smoother, more efficient, and ready for the next stage of growth.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of complex projects that don’t fall into a single department.
- Identify operational problems and design smart, scalable solutions.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from start to finish—planning, organizing, and executing.
- Coordinate with leadership to prioritize projects that support business goals.
- Track progress, manage timelines, and make sure results are delivered.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with all levels of the organization.
- Bring fresh ideas, systems thinking, and energy to everything you do.
What We're Looking For
- Highly organized and detail-oriented. You keep projects on track and people aligned.
- Self-starter. You take initiative without needing to be told what to do next.
- Analytical mindset. You look at data, outcomes, and process to inform decisions.
- Strong communicator. You can explain ideas clearly and lead teams through change.
- Problem-solver. You enjoy taking on challenges and finding better ways to do things.
- Multitasker. You can juggle multiple projects while staying focused and effective.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in operations, logistics, business development, or project management
- A background in an inventory-heavy, asset-based, or construction-related business
- Familiarity with tools like spreadsheets, task managers, or inventory systems
- Experience working in entrepreneurial or fast-growing environments
Why Join Us?
We’re a third-generation auction business with a unique model, growing quickly in the building materials and surplus inventory space. We believe in working hard, solving real problems, and creating opportunities along the way. You’ll have room to grow, freedom to lead, and the chance to help shape our future.
