Manager

A leading landscape and lawn service contractor is looking for a hands-on, self-motivated Manger to become a part of our organization.

The manager directs the day-to-day activities of lawn crew teams to consistently service our clients’ properties in an extraordinary manner so that the company name and reputation continue to flourish. The manager will ensure that lawn crew teams are providing a superior service experience to clients while operating safely and efficiently at all times. In addition, the manager will proactively manage the client expectations as well as presenting opportunities to improve the client’s property through sales and management of enhancements.

The manager position is the proving ground for the future leaders of the company requiring a commitment to increasing field efficiency, maintaining customer relationships, and proactively pursuing casual sales.

Minimum Requirements:

· Knowledge of all associated machinery and trucks involved in delivering our products and services.

· Demonstrated skill and ability in the area of sales and customer service.

· Ability to accurately estimate jobs for potential clients.

· Demonstrated skill and ability managing the production of service work.

· Experience with, and basic knowledge of, computer operation.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English (Spanish is a plus)

· Valid driver’s license with a clean record over the last three years.

· Good physical condition. Mental ability to make quick decisions, supervise workers, and interpret data.

Scope of Decision Making:

· On own authority, makes all decisions regarding the day-to-day production of assigned and recurring jobs, including customer service-related issues.

· With Director of Operations, decisions are made on purchases, hiring, promotions, pay raises, job pricing and any issue affecting the long-term direction of the branch or company.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Schedule routes for lawn crews and adjust accordingly based on available staff/equipment, weather conditions

· Complete estimates and on-site estimates scheduled by the office admin staff.

· Approve invoicing to clients.

· Multitask and proactively address potential issues to increase productivity.

· Monitor the quality of our service and product delivery by scheduling property visits and customer follow-ups.

· Identify opportunities to increase revenue and implement sustainable action plans to achieve goals.

Safety:

· Ensure that the lawn crews are operating in a safe manner at all times.

· Ensure and document that all field personnel are trained and understand all safety related procedures for operating vehicles and equipment.

· Ensure that all assigned employees are present for safety meetings

· Complete a minimum of one crew safety inspection per month for each assigned lawn crew

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
