What You'll Do * Process, draft, and file bankruptcy-related documents (chapter 7, 11 and 13) * Review and analyze bankruptcy claims * Gather information from creditors, debtors, trustees, clerks * Obtain credit reports and write Proofs of Claim * Submit documents to the Bankruptcy Court quickly and efficiently * Maintain digital and hard copy files for cases * Track litigation for upcoming response dates so that deadlines are met. * Assist in drafting discovery responses while working closely with counsel * Prepare Bankruptcy petitions, client correspondence, draft pleadings, etc. * Prepare files for court hearings * Meet with clients in person or via zoom * Manage court docket * Organize and maintain case files * Work with lawyers on all aspects of client matters * All other duties as assigned What You Bring * Bankruptcy experience preferred (chapter 7, 11 and 13) * Knowledge of bankruptcy terminology * Heavy focus on details * Independent worker; deadline-driven * Able to manage a heavy work load and multiple priorities * Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Access and Word) * Verbal Communication: speaks clearly and persuasively; listens and gets clarification; receptive to questions * Written Communication: writes clearly and informatively * Knowledge of Pacer and Best Case Since 1998, LH&M has maintained strong relationships with a diverse client base by providing sophisticated, creative and cost-effective legal representation.
