Job Summary:
Our cutlery manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assembler to join our production team. As an assembler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective assembly of cutlery components according to company standards. The Assembler will have exceptional hand-eye coordination, be able to work well in a team, and have a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly of cutlery components to ensure that all parts are fitted correctly and in accordance with company standards
- Determine availability of materials and tools required for the assembly process
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure the highest level of safety and hygiene
- Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste and ensure efficient use of materials
- Perform preventive maintenance and report and resolve any assembly line issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Use hand tools and machinery to assemble components
- Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth assembly operations
- Willingness to learn and cover other positions as needed with proper guidance
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing assembly preferred
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to use hand tools and machinery required for the assembly process
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. of weight as required by the job
- Ability to work in a team and willing to learn new things
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance and reporting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes as required
