What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Intern - Summer 2024 position at Lancaster Barnstormers?
The Lancaster Barnstormers at Clipper Magazine Stadium are looking for an Events Intern for the 2024 summer season. Please note, this is an unpaid internship for the purpose of sports and entertainment industry experience. The Events Intern is an internship focused mainly on non-game day events throughout the summer season. The individual will work closely with the Director of Entertainment and Events to assist in planning and executing events, as well as caring for clients. This internship is designed to give interns a great experience within the sports and entertainment industry through live event experience and the preparation of those events.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in general event day setup and breakdown
- Assist in the day-to-day management and logistics of the event business
- Concierge for clients and guests during events
- Assist with the planning and implementing of event set-up with third party vendors
- Ensure the client's agreement is outlined and met to complete satisfaction
- Opportunity to volunteer for game day activities and office hours as desired
- Handle other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Professionalism, friendliness, and a strong work ethic
- Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Strong creative, written, and verbal skills
- The ability to supply excellent customer service to all clients
- Able to maintain a flexible work schedule
