Description

Job Summary:

The Student Support Specialist provides the initial point of contact for students and guests visiting or calling Lancaster Bible College. This position is responsible for facilitating student access to key services in the areas of student billing, financial aid, and Registrars Office.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

 Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree and/or two years experience in a business office preferably in an academic setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizations skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, flexible and able to maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to meet common goals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Comfortable learning and troubleshooting software

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all visitors are pleasantly greeted and assisted with next steps.
  • Answer Solution Center phone and oversee shared email Inbox.
  • Review student accounts in response to inquiries from students or other departments.
  • Assist students with setting up payment plans and claiming refunds.
  • Post student payments, reservation fees, as well as income from college events.
  • Upload required forms.
  • Assist in other duties whenever called upon, as needed for the good and welfare of the total college ministry.
