TITLE: Data Quality and Accounts Payable Clerk
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Parttime (25hours/week--5 hour days)
POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Finance
POSITION OVERSEES: N/A
Position Overview:
As the Data Quality and Accounts Payable Clerk, you will manage the Chamber’s database software, including ensuring accuracy and integrity of member information, maintain functionality of the software, and assist Chamber staff with utilizing the system and retrieval of data. Additionally, you’ll support the Chamber’s Finance department by providing cash application and Accounts Payable processing assistance.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and continuously improve a coordinated data verification process.
2. Involve integral Chamber staff and communicate with Chamber membership to maintain and update their information on record.
3. Provide cash application and Accounts Payable processing support
4. Perform monthly bank reconciliations
5. Develop techniques and processes to ensure the data’s accuracy, including seeking out informational sources for business and employee changes, and conducting regular data audits to maintain integrity of the data.
6. Assist Director of Finance with periodic reporting and other finance related tasks
7. Manage and implement database training for Chamber staff
Qualifications:
o At least two years of related, relevant experience in data entry, accounting, preferred
o Proficiency with data tracking and scrubbing
o Basic proficiency or willingness to learn Accounts Payable and cash application processes
o Strong mathematical skills
o Exceptional attention to detail
o Excellent oral and written communication and problem-solving skills
o Strong internal and external customer service
o Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Technology Skills:
o Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, with an advanced knowledge of Excel preferred
o Willingness to learn Sage accounting software
o Capability to become advanced in and be the organization’s lead on the Chamber’s database software, Growthzone
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
