Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures. This role involves supporting attorneys and paralegals, with a focus on intake, post-closing, and front desk work which includes answering phones.
Responsibilities
- Manage the intake e-mail and set up new files for the paralegals.
- Handle all post-closing tasks, which includes all disbursements and mailings.
- Answer the phones and greet guests at the front desk.
- Organize and schedule appointments, meetings, and signings.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on file progress.
- Support the team in various clerical tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
- Utilize Qualia for file management and billing purposes.
Skills
- Proficiency in document management systems.
- Familiarity with real estate law is preferred.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
