Summary
Coordinates sales order processing and/or freight shipping activities.
Essential Functions
- Issues sales order picks to stockroom personnel and coordinates activities
- Generates and maintains shipment reports
- Verifies shipping information, routes freight, and creates bills of lading using the computer system required to make shipping labels, contacting carriers, claims when necessary.
- Communicates with management, customer service, and vendors to expedite shipments, coordinate sales order changes, and follow up with customer inquiries
- Invoices customers in accordance with Lancer sales order policy.
- May verify tax code, freight amount, and taxability status
- May post and review entries against sales orders
- May process proof of delivery reports for designated departments/customers and consignment orders
- May verify Federal Express shipments in accordance with required service level
- May calculate C.O.D. orders
- May assist in training new team members
- Other duties as needed and directed by the supervisor
- Knowledge of Lancer Quality Systems
- Computer literate; knowledge of basic spreadsheet applications
- Knowledge of DOT specifications for shipping materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs will be required.

Education and Experience
- H.S. diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required
- 1-3 years of experience preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions at the manufacturing site. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Employees in this position are required to wear steel or composite-toe boots or shoes when present or working within the manufacturing areas of the facility.
