Job Title: Director of Facilities Engineering (Temporary Leadership)

Shift: Varied Days (40-hour guarantee)

A healthcare facility in Pittsfield, MA, is seeking a Director of Facilities Engineering for a temporary leadership role. This exempt position requires a seasoned professional with expertise in healthcare facilities management, construction oversight, and regulatory compliance.

The Director will be responsible for:

• Facilities Engineering & Maintenance – Overseeing building life safety, construction, and renovation projects across multiple locations.
• Strategic Planning & Compliance – Ensuring adherence to Joint Commission Utility Management, Environment of Care, and Life Safety standards.
• Budget & Financial Management – Managing financial operating budgets across multiple departments.
• Leadership & Operations – Leading staff, fostering collaboration, and effectively managing multiple stakeholders.
• Committee Participation – Co-chairing the Environment of Care Committee.
  

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred OR at least five years of leadership experience at the Director level in healthcare facility planning, engineering, maintenance, and construction.
• Experience: Minimum five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare facilities, construction management, and automated systems.
• Certifications: MA Construction Supervisor License (Unrestricted) OR Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) – REQUIRED.
• Skills: Strong project management, conflict resolution, and mentoring capabilities.
• Other Requirements:
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.
• Must meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements (dose date on or after 10/3/23) or provide an approved exemption form (masking required on-site if exempt).
