This is position will Independently collect, manage, and resolve outstanding invoices for customer accounts. Independent decision making is used to determine the use of third-party collection agencies and release of product from credit hold. Participation in cross-functional teams will often be necessary to resolve process related issues preventing timely payment.
Essential Functions
- Independently collect, manage, and resolve outstanding A / R balances with a focus on customer A / R balances exceeding 30 days past due. This may include :
Providing necessary support for the invoices
Providing excellent customer service when non-payment has resulted from internal inability to meet customer expectations.Independently resolving invoice disputes, short payments, declinations, and deductions which may require driving cross-functional staff to get the issue cleared, paid, credited, or otherwise adjusted from the Accounts ReceivablePrompt resolution of unapplied cash on accountPrompt escalation of issues preventing paymentInvestigate and analyze credit risks and make independent decisions regarding product shipment. Decisions to hold products must be promptly communicated to our sales force.Evaluate customer accounts, based on payment trends, kept promises, and available credit line.
Keep management advised of customer buying, paying trends.Advise management of internal process and customer satisfaction issues and actively participate in Process Improvement initiatives.Assist in preparation of our monthly and quarterly Reporting. Provide management with feedback regarding account status through "tickler" notes as required.Assist in delivering required training to ensure that all new hires and / or coworkers have the necessary skills to perform their jobs properly and safely.Assist Collection Specialists with questions and complicated account reconciliations.Research and resolve old outstanding credits per management direction.Maintain detailed records in operating system regarding customer contact and steps taken to resolve all past due balances.Special projects or work, as assigned by Collection Supervisor or Credit Manager.Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external).Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and / or reduce exposure to liability.Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma. An associate degree or working towards one.Must have 5 years of experience in commercial collections within the manufacturing environmentStrong Microsoft Office Suite emphasis on ExcelStrong communication and negotiation skillsMotivated and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task.Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.Experience with Pedimentos preferred.Familiarity with the Epicor program preferred.Ability to lift and carries weigh upto 30 poundsCompensation / Benefits :

The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
