Feed Sales Representative
We are seeking a highly motivated Feed Sales Representative to focus primarily on Dairy feed sales with our partner co-op in the Wausau, WI territory.
This role will be responsible for selling feed and all related products that optimize the cooperative/dealers market share and savings, improve efficiency, and help achieve the cooperative/dealers mission and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating existing feeding programs and recommending nutritional solutions to adult dairy animal owners.
- Selling and consulting at the farm gate to promote Purina products and programs, growing sales and market share.
- Organizing educational meetings and events to enhance Purina's brand image, sell product, and build store traffic with local co-op/dealer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field strongly desired.
- Candidates with pending bachelors degree or proven sales and industry experience may be considered.
- Previous Sales experience highly desired.
- Basic command of making nutritional recommendations to Dairy animal owners.
- Dairy husbandry knowledge, current management practices, and nutritional guidelines.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and ability to learn ration balancing software (HerdSmart) and Salesforce.
- Background and professional experience with Cattle or Dairy.

- Ability to make multiple daily sales calls and network in the industry.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Solid public speaking skills.
Travel Percentage: 15% overnight travel, in addition to daily travel in the assigned geography.
