Second Shift Manufacturing Specialist

The Second Shift Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for the efficient operation of manufacturing production equipment, ensuring high-quality products are manufactured according to production specifications and schedules.

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business, working closely with our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and other large retailers to serve producers and animal owners across the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production equipment
• Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
• Examine production materials for processing and maintain accurate daily production records
• Troubleshoot processing problems and ensure all equipment and processes are maintained

Requirements:

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions
• Critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
• Safety awareness, ensuring complete physical safety of oneself and coworkers at all times
