Summary of Position:
The Corner Store Supervisor supports the Corner Store Manager and Food & Beverage Director in the implementation of the Store’s adopted standards and objectives. The position is primarily accountable for the organization and appearance of the Corner Store, for training and supervision of Baristas, and for assisting the Manager with the purchase, receiving, display, and pricing of store inventory.
This position maintains consistency with Land’s End’s adopted standards of operation, including sanitation; rotation of freshly made food items; décor, and exceptional customer service. The position is expected to train new staff in sales and customer service; in the use of the espresso machine and in the POS system, and with internal accounting processes. The position works regular shifts as a clerk and barista and is eligible for tips. The Corner Store Supervisor must communicate and coordinate effectively with all levels of staff, including HR, the GM and Accounting personnel.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver Joy to Land’s End customers every day.
- Assist Management with the onboarding and training of corner store staff.
- Assist with the implementation of Corner Store standards of operation, and with the overall Mission and operating objectives of Land’s End.
- Observe and enforce dress code and Land’s End personal conduct policies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness; organization; sanitation; and food safety procedures.
- Support management with the ordering, receiving and storage of merchandise.
- Maintain integrity and control over accounting processes and handling of cash and credit cards.
- Optimize sales and guest experience through creative display of merchandize; through effective presentation of food & beverage menu offerings, and by control over lighting, music, and décor.
- Coordinate staffing, hours of operation, and special events or group needs with management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to lead and inspire others in the pursuit of superior customer service.
- Ability and desire to train and manage to a consistent standard of excellence.
- Proficiency with basic math, with computers and POS systems, and coffee making equipment.
- Ability to lift 30lbs, bend, squat, twist and stand for 6-8 hours in a day.
- Ability to write and speak clear English, and to communicate and coordinate well with others.
