We are seeking a motivated Construction Project Engineer with 4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction and DOT (Department of Transportation) scope of work, with experience on projects valued over $10 million. This role is pivotal in ensuring successful project execution, from planning through completion, while working closely with Project Managers, superintendents, and field teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and coordinating construction activities to ensure project quality, timelines, and budget requirements are met.
- Support the Project Manager with the preparation of project schedules, submittals, RFIs, and daily reports.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to address any issues or changes in project scope.
- Monitor progress and report on project status, including identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards on all assigned projects.
- Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records for quality assurance and progress tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- 4 years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction, preferably with DOT or public infrastructure projects.
- Experience with project values of $10 million or more.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., HCSS, Primavera or similar, Bluebeam).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively in a team setting.
