What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Telemetry Monitor Technician - Full Time position at Landmark Hospital of Cape Girardeau?
Summary: Support the excellent patient care provided at Landmark Hospitals through monitoring and evaluating patients requiring telemetry observation. Proactively communicate status and patient needs to the clinical team.
Shift: Day Shift, Full Time
Telemetry Monitor Technician Responsibilities:
- Monitors cardiac rhythm on telemetry monitor screen throughout shift
- Evaluates patient's baseline rhythm and any changes noted throughout patient's stay
- Communicates effectively with other staff members in support of patient care
- Prepares patient properly for telemetry monitoring process
- Assures for upkeep of telemetry area to allow for the most efficient work flow
- Participates in professional and staff development
Telemetry Monitor Technician Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Completion of the Telemetry Exam with a minimum of 80% score (We will provide competency training)
- 1 year hospital/healthcare setting experience strongly preferred or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team, detail and goal oriented
- Positive, professional and empathetic demeanor
- Ability to work flexible schedule, for full time roles, every other weekend is required
- BLS/CPR preferred (classes offered!)
