Key Responsibilities for the Turf and Ornamental Applicator
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to a predetermined schedule and in compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
- Identify and address common turf and ornamental issues such as diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Operate and maintain application equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Keep all tools, trailers and vehicles clean, organized and maintained
- Keep accurate records of applications, including product usage, application rates, and client interactions.
- Deliver high-end customer service to all clients. Explain treatment plans, address concerns, and provide recommendations for ongoing care.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement effective turf and ornamental care programs.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, new products, and advancements in turf and ornamental care.
- Other general landscape maintenance including, but not limited to:
- Pruning, Weeding, Mulching, Planting and Mowing
Qualifications:
- Must have in good standing valid Wisconsin driver's license - CDL a plus
- Must posses a Category 3.0 Turf and Landscape Certification - Category 6.0 a plus
- 2 years previous experience in chemical applications- Preferred
- Strong knowledge of turf and ornamental plants, diseases, pests, and treatment methods.
- Familiarity with the safe and effective use of application equipment and chemicals.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, lifting, walking, and working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time.
