Turf Care Technician Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Turf Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for turf management, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. As a Turf Care Technician, you will be responsible for a range of duties aimed at maintaining and improving the health and appearance of lawns.
Key Responsibilities for Turf Care Technician
- Operate and maintain turf care equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Keep all tools, trailers and vehicles clean and organized
- Perform routine lawn care tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing to maintain a manicured appearance.
- Perform spring and fall cleanups, as well as general landscape maintenance such as pruning, weeding, and mulching.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to a predetermined schedule and in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Identify and address common turf issues such as diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute turf maintenance projects.
- Keep accurate records of services provided, materials used, and client interactions.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in turf care.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in turf care or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of turf grass varieties, soil types, and common turf issues helpful.
- Familiarity with the safe and effective use of turf care equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., pesticide applicator license) is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50lb repeatedly.
- Ability to stand/ walk for long durations.
Salary : $18 - $22
