Landscape Crew Foreman/Project Manager
Landscape crew foreman entails a minimum of three years landscape installation experience. This candidate is well versed in the fundamentals of landscape installation. They are highly efficient in the basic skills sets, can operate, and maintain all hand tools and power tools used in the trade. Has the basic skills set to load, operate, and maintain heavy equipment utilized by Landmark. This individual also understands and can install basic hardscaping projects such as pavers, flagstone, and wall projects. This individual can efficiently and readily take a crew out and install an intricate landscape job which may include hardscaping and or lighting.
Qualifications:
- Able to comfortably lift 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Proper shoes/boots are required.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
- Working cell phone is required.
- Willing to work through unpleasant weather conditions.
- Must possess good communications skills.
- Must be self-motivated, reliable, and punctual.
- Shows leadership skills such as leading by example and going the extra mile.
- Arrives 15 minutes before the crews so the projects at hand can be discussed with installation dept. head.
- Willingness to be coached to excel in one’s position and enjoys being part of a team.
- Displays a positive, “can-do” demeanor.
- Willingness to shift into other area’s where team member support is needed.
- Utilizes leadership skills to help build team unity while maintaining company efficiency goals.
- Chemical pesticide applicators license required.
- Some Saturdays are required.
Responsibilities:
- Readily communicates with customers and crew members and shows good communications skills.
- Well versed in all aspects of skid steers from loading, to use, and maintenance plus can teach these skill sets to others.
- Accurately tracks project materials and labor information and ensures that the paperwork is turned in on time.
- Keeps crews running efficiently.
- Can suggest additions or changes to the customer which will lead to increased profits for landmark while still maintaining our customer care/success philosophy.· Keeps crews moving forward and helps motivate them when need be.
Note: This position leads to Advanced landscape foreman position and or managerial roles. An estimated wage rate of $25-32 per hour based on qualifications and work ethic. Uniforms are supplied, you provide appropriate boots/shoes (with certain requirements), knife, and gloves. A boot fund is offered after 1 year of employment with us.
