The Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington is seeking a part-time Finance / HR Manager to join our team.

Landmark on Main Street, a not-for-profit community center, is at the heart of a vibrant arts-oriented community. The 425-seat Jeanne Rimsky Theater offers a full season of professional performing arts and community service programming. The Finance / HR Manager will report to Landmark’s Managing Director and manage all accounting and HR functions for the organization.

The principal duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

ACCOUNTING & FINANCE

  • Maintain accurate financial records with QuickBooks setup and transaction management

  • Manage data transfer between QuickBooks and ticketing and payroll software packages.

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of all bank and investment accounts. Maintain banking relationships.

  • Prepare monthly financial statement reporting package for the Executive Director and Board.

  • Produce profitability analyses and projections as needed.

  • Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & cash flow forecasting

  • Prepare annual budget in collaboration with Executive Director, Managing Director and department heads.

  • Coordinate annual audit with external auditors for timely completion and tax filing.

  • Provide support for grant applications and grant reporting.

  • Manage petty cash and credit card accounts. Ensure all charges have proper support.

HR

  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll.

  • Administer health insurance benefit program.

  • Obtain W-9's and prepare 1099's and 1042’s in a timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance with state and Federal employment law.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. MBA or CPA a plus.

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting. Non-profit accounting experience a plus.

  • Knowledge of project cost accounting.

  • Knowledge of accounting laws, regulations, rules and standard practices.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel. QuickBooks experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to troubleshoot and problem solve.

 

Salary : $30 - $40
