Accounting Assistant Job Description
Classification: Non Exempt
Reports to Controller
Daily:
- Scan all deposits entered in the corporate office into various local banks
- Vendor Statements Ensure all invoices have been entered and resolve any issues with vendor Credits
- Download and Link Conservice Utility invoices in RPA (MWF)
Monthly:
- Scans Backup for Benefit Invoices
- Lease Audit
- Scan bank reconciliations into RealPage Accounting
- Download Bank Statements (Properties)
- Issue outstanding Check letters for all properties
- Issue Insurance Letters to Vendors for Updated COIs
- Update Vendor File with updated Insurance Information
- Process Legal Checks from Collection Agencies
- Enter GJ to record Legal Fees for Legal Checks Posted
- Ensure SD Audits are received monthly from each property and Property Inspection
- Gather monthly property inspections from sites
- Monitor OPS to ensure that Orders are cleared and matched with invoices
- Monitor Invoices to ensure that electronic invoices are processed by the Site Teams
Misc:
- Verify Smoke Detector inspections/Filter Changes are completed for all properties (April/Oct)
- Scan monies into Miscellaneous ledgers for Cable and any other receipts received
Qualifications:
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Drug screening and Background Check
- 1-2 Years of Accounts Payable Experience
