Summary/Objective
The Operations Manager is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the branch, maintaining high standards of customer service, achieving sales targets, and promoting a positive work environment. Additionally, they oversee crew deployment, scheduling and routing, quality control, and coordination between the shop, office, and field teams.
Essential Functions
· Overall Responsibilities and Key Duties
o Collaborate with senior management to develop branch strategies and objectives.
o Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the branch.
o Prepare performance reports for the branch and present them to upper management.
o Understand contract specifications and obligations, ensuring they are met while maintaining complete customer satisfaction.
o Lead, mentor, and develop branch staff to achieve both individual and team goals.
o Foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
o Coordinate with the Field Supervisor to gather information needed for Crew Leaders and their teams to complete jobs effectively.
o Ensure proper inventory levels of materials, equipment, and supplies are maintained to support production activities.
o Optimize the use of field personnel, equipment, and materials while coordinating with other divisions to minimize waste.
o Address customer complaints promptly, ensuring effective resolution to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
o Maintain costs within all assigned operating budgets.
o Enforce all safety standards, protocols, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
o Support the development, implementation, and refinement of departmental best practices in all areas of field operations and safety, staying informed about new methods applicable to the company.
o Manage and track warranty work to minimize occurrences.
o Ensure all field reporting and records are accurately completed and effectively communicated between the field and office.
o Drive sales growth by developing and executing strategic sales plans.
o Monitor branch financial performance closely.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and retention.
o Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
o Maintaining a positive attitude at all times while demonstrating strong leadership and professionalism.
· Daily Responsibilities
o Monitor and direct crew activities each morning, including clocking crews in and providing safety gear
o Ensure crews have all necessary equipment and supplies for daily tasks, including any special-order inventory required for unique work orders.
o Meet with field supervisors and foremen as needed to address quality issues and other concerns.
o Foster a positive attitude among staff through effective management and interpersonal skills.
o Coordinate and execute requests from account managers, which may include meeting with customers prior to crew visits.
· Weekly Responsibilities
o Conduct weekly sales and operations meetings.
o Hold weekly safety, productivity, and quality meetings with crews.
o Ensuring the crew adheres to the budgeted hours for each job based on information available in Aspire.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hours are subject to change, as this position interacts with office and field. Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required and is anticipated as needed.
Travel
This position might require overnight travel. These requirements will vary. Company truck provided for business use. Extensive driving may be required. Please note: Smoking in the company trucks is not permitted.
