What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk and Insurance Specialist position at LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION?
Successful athletic construction company seeking a highly organized Insurance and Compliance Specialist with excellent communication skills. This position is reporting to the executive team.
- Manage a portfolio of claims, ensuring accurate and timely handling from filing to resolution.
- Act as a liaison between carriers, adjusters, and internal executive team to facilitate claim communication and resolution.
- Analyze and interpret litigation files with insurance policies and claim documents to provide expert guidance to the company.
- Advocate for company during claim disputes, escalating issues to carriers or legal teams as necessary.
- Review loss runs and analyze claim trends to identify cost drivers and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Managing all company licensing including obtaining necessary licenses, permits, and approvals from local, state, and federal authorities in all states the company operates.
- Working with local zoning offices, environmental agencies and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
- Maintaining licensing records by keeping accurate and organized records of all licensing, permits, and approvals related to construction projects.
- Ensuring timely approvals by following up with regulatory agencies to ensure that permits and licenses are issued on time and resolve any issues that may prevent this.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes affecting construction claims and insurance policies.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the construction field.
- Insurance defense experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality required.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work well with team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
