Job Description
As our Service Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting Landscapers Supply’s ability to serve our external service customers with high efficiency. Your role is to facilitate the physical flow of equipment through the repair shop, freeing, as much as possible, the service technicians to focus on skilled repair work. You also keep the shop clean, organized and running well. This role is an entry level position in the service shop that can lead to a career as a service technician.
Responsibilities
- Assist with unloading and loading of customer’s equipment
- Clean equipment prior to it entering the service area
- Stage equipment (with associated paperwork) in the shop to be triaged (diagnosed) by the Service Technicians
- Receive parts from the Parts Specialist and match them to repair orders
- Stage equipment once all needed parts are procured in the shop to be repaired by the Service Technicians
- Complete non-technical service work such as sharpening blades and chains, repairing tires, assembling equipment and doing standard equipment maintenance
- Clean and maintain the service area (sweeping, trash removal, organizing, etc.), including the outside mower storage
- Maintain adequate stock levels of shop supplies for the Service Technicians
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining shop tools and equipment
- Assist the Service Writers and Service Technicians with special requests (retrieve parts, errands, assist customers, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- Ability to have positive and friendly interactions with customers
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to prioritize tasks to facilitate shop efficiency
- Ability to be organized and calm in a fast paced environment
- Ability to have good communication with colleagues
- Experience in a repair shop
- Basic knowledge of engines and parts
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and handle up to 70 lbs.
- Manual dexterity sufficient for non-technical service work
