Qualifications
- Logs in bid packages and makes any necessary copies.
- Prepares quantity take-offs for bid proposals utilizing AgTek machines.
- Reviews and understands bid requirements set forth in project plans, specifications and other bid documents, with ability to summarize same for use by other estimating staff.
- Creates estimate and budget templates for use by estimating staff.
- Compiles and submits bid packages for small projects of limited scope to Estimating Manager or Senior Estimator for review before submission, including bonding, personnel sheets and other necessary forms.
- Participates in developing project updates, bid package estimate documents and final bid packages.
- Maintains files for back-up to estimating figures.
- Compiles RFPs for subcontractors and vendors.
- Complete other duties as assigned by estimators, supervisor or officers of the Company.
- Must maintain the confidentiality of Company information.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Planning and organization with an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Problem analysis and resolution.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong customer orientation.
- Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, AgTek, AutoCAD and Bid2Win estimating software, Internet systems, scanner, copier.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
Education and Experience
- Two-year college degree in Construction Management or related program or currently enrolled.
- May substitute six months to one year of experience and/or training for education or have the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary - DOE. Benefits can include free golf at certain course locations, PTO and 401K.
Position - 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday), full-time
