The Vice President of IT - Network, Infrastructure, and Information Security is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of the company's IT infrastructure and network operations, as well as developing and implementing an enterprise-wide information security strategy to protect the organization's data, systems, and networks. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of all IT systems while driving efficiency and innovation; and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while mitigating security risks. Essential Responsibilities:
The Vice President of IT - Network, Infrastructure, and Information Security is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of the company's IT infrastructure and network operations, as well as developing and implementing an enterprise-wide information security strategy to protect the organization's data, systems, and networks. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of all IT systems while driving efficiency and innovation; and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while mitigating security risks. The VP will lead teams responsible for network services, cloud computing, data centers, IT operations, and information security.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure, network services, and operations.
- Develop, implement, and manage the organization's information security strategy and policies.
- Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems through best practices in IT service management.
- Oversee data center management, cloud computing strategies, and enterprise architecture.
- Oversee the establishment and enforcement of security standards, best practices, and compliance frameworks such as NIST.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and negotiations for IT services and technologies.
- Establish disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans (BCP) to minimize downtime.
- Lead cybersecurity risk assessments, audits, and incident response planning.
- Monitor and analyze security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents to prevent breaches.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and executive leadership to align security initiatives with business objectives.
- Establish security awareness programs to educate employees on the best security practices.
- Lead the response and investigation of security incidents and data breaches.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, law enforcement, and industry groups.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT strategies with business objectives.
- Develop and mentor IT and security staff, ensuring a high level of expertise and responsiveness and fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure and information security including cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- 5 years in a leadership role.
- 3 years of experience managing large-scale IT environments, including data centers and distributed networks.
- Current certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent
- Experience with publicly traded companies
- Experience with secure software development practices.
- Experience in DevOps, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Experience working in industries with strict compliance requirements.
- Experience with the use of AI for operational efficiency and information security
- Ability to participate in o ccasional travel for industry conferences, vendor meetings, and site visits.
- Skills in cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Skills in security technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
- Ability to negotiate cyber security insurance contracts
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Skills in IT budgeting, cost management, and vendor negotiations.
