What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Technician position at Landus?
*This position reports to our Ralston, IA work site.*

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment, machinery, and plant systems within the SoyPlus Plant, Elevator, and SoyChlor Plant. You will
- Configure, modify, and test electrical systems in plant.
- Program and replace VFDs (variable frequency drive).
- Install, maintain, diagnose issues, and repair all types of electrical equipment including actuators, conduit, motors, PLCs (programmable logic controller), starters, switches, valves, wiring, and more.
- Recommend and implement innovative ideas to improve equipment and system design.
- Be responsible for compliance with all federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
- Follow all safety guidelines regulated by Landus Cooperative, OSHA, or other regulatory agencies.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Two – four years electrical or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of 480/277 and 208/120 volt systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and related experience and/or training.
- Good computer skills and mechanical skills.
