Electrical Tech - Des Moines, IA - On-site Only
- Salary Range: 60,000 - 70,000

- Hours: 2nd Shift 3pm - 11pm and 3rd Shift 11pm - 7 am
Summary: Seeking an Electrical Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Accredited technical school or apprenticeship preferred
- Two years of technical education in electronics or five years of related experience
- Proficiency in electronic and PLC technology and programming
- Familiarity with electrical theory, NEC codes, OSHA standards
- Experience with voltage up to 480 volts three-phase
- Knowledge of electrical trade practices, methods, tools, equipment, and materials
Preferred Skills:
- Computer skills and PLC programming
- Auto-CAD drawings of circuit boards
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer electrical circuits, controls, wiring for new installations/upgrades
- Write specifications for component purchase; work with vendors for compatibility
- Oversee installation, troubleshooting, repair of electrical installations
- Perform hands-on work; install, alter, maintain electrical systems/equipment
- Analyze and correct power failures, short circuits, electrical problems
- Maintain safety standards; comply with statutory codes and OSHA requirements
- Attend training to stay updated on latest technologies
