Position Purpose: | The Manufacturing Technology Program Part-time Faculty position will be responsible for Manufacturing related training courses. The primary responsibility of the manufacturing instructor is to provide quality teaching in a full range of community college manufacturing courses. Instructors are needed for one or more of the following areas: CNC Setup and Operation, CNC Programming, CNC Projects, Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Solid Modeling, CAM, Safety and Basic Shop Practice, Shop Measurement, Coordinate System, and Metal Cutting Basics. All of these classes currently include remote and/or online learning while presenting innovative lectures and lab components. The accompanying instruction, depending on the class, may be delivered in several formats which include both traditional lectures and online presentations. Program desired qualities include a relatively diverse background with a mix of teaching and project management experience as well as hands-on experience within the manufacturing industry. |

Physical Demands/Working Environment: | Coordinate fine and gross motor movements. Coordinate hand/eye movements. Maintain balance from any position. Negotiate level surfaces, ramps and stairs. Attend to cognitive and psychometric tasks for more than two (2) hours a day; work on a computer for more than one (1) hour a day; ability to transport or lift up to fifty (50) lbs with assistance as needed; stand or sit for extended periods of time.
