Job Title:	Instructor Pool - Visual Arts
Applicant Notification:	Division Information The Division of the Arts is seeking to hire multiple skilled Part-Time educators with a passion for teaching and content expertise in 2-Dimensional Art, 3-Dimensional Art, and/or Art History. Courses may include Drawing, Basic Design, Color Theory, Painting, 3D Design, Introduction to Sculpture, Wood Sculpture, Metal Sculpture, Stone Sculpture, Ceramics, and Art History. Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning. This is an application pool posting for 2024-2025. The assigned location for this position is at the Lane Community College's main campus located in Eugene, Oregon. The Part-time Faculty benefits package includes a generous contribution toward medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, and paid sick leave. Part-time faculty may be eligible for full contracted benefits after meeting certain criteria.

Required QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education:	2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional Arts: Candidates with a Master of Fine Arts or Master of Arts Degree in Studio Art, Digital Art, or Art and Technology, including at least thirty (30) quarter hours (twenty semester hours) of graduate credit in academic courses in foundational two- or three-dimensional art from a regionally accredited institution. Art History: Master's degree in Art History or a closely related field with graduate credits in Art History from a regionally accredited institution. LCC follows state guidelines to provide an alternative qualification process. Required Experience:	One (1) year of college-level teaching.

Position Purpose:	Faculty are professional educators with the primary responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for all Lane Community College students. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of the teacher of record and facilitator of learning.

Supervision Statement:	Faculty report to a Division Dean, and perform instructional and professional duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the college.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:	This position works in varied environments. May be exposed to usual office, industry, education, and commercial working conditions that include noises, interruptions, equipment, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. May perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work Safely.
