Barista

Our new bright and cheery Farmers Garden Caf is situated in amongst the garden plants at the Lane Forest Corner Store Nursery near the U of O on Franklin Blvd. We are looking for just the right person with Barista experience to grow with us.This is a part time position and requires weekend availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting baked goods and coffee drinks.
• Prepare beverages according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate the Point of Sale and handle transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including stocking supplies and products
• Assist with food preparation, such as assembling sandwiches and packaging pastries
• Answer customer inquiries and provide information about our products and services
• Uphold food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Opening and closing duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Barista experience required
• Weekend Availability required
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine maintenance preferred
• Current Food Handlers Card required
• Excellent friendly communication skills required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Efficient and well- organization with an entrepreneurial outlook
