Lang Pharma Nutrition is a high quality, global private label retail product development company which provides a flexible manufacturing offering and solutions for retail partners around the world.
We are seeking a motivated and detailed oriented Accounting Specialist for accounts payable and supporting cost accounting, accounts receivable, general accounting, and departmental administration functions. This position is a hybrid position which requires to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
JOB FUNCTION AND DUTIES
Accounts Payable:
- Process accounts payable PO related invoices utilizing Medius and work collaboratively with cost accountant to resolve any invoice and goods receipt discrepancies
- Cross-trained to handle processing of all accounts payable types including the coding of invoices to the general ledger
SG&A invoices
Quality assurance testing and audit invoices
Warehousing invoices
Freight invoices
- Review of vendor statements for missing invoices in Medius
- Work in conjunction with other finance staff in the vendor management and payables area
Cost Accounting:
- Analyze cost adjustments
- Maintain locations for inventory Material Cost Types
- Review recorded weekly inventory adjustments greater than $1K
- Research discrepancies from Received Not Invoiced and take weekly meetings with Supply Chain
- Review of monthly freight out costs and warehouse service charges
- Record monthly reclass entry for inventory in-transit
- Prepare Inventory Value by Location report monthly
Accounts Receivable Cross-training:
- Process customer invoicing and reconciling EDI batch totals with Customer Service (CSR)
- Post high volume AR cash receipts and properly match to open invoices
- Allocate discounts and deductions to proper GL accounts
- Research customer deductions and obtain approvals
Administration:
- Interact with vendors via email and phone on account reconciling and credit calls
- Assemble payments
- Collect tax required information
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)
- Working knowledge of Excel and ability to use Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with ECI Macola ES suite and Medius a plus
- Ability to read and understand chart of accounts
- Attention to detail and producing high quality work product
- Follows policies and procedures
- Completes tasks correctly and on time without being reminded to do so

EDUCATION
- Accounting degree preferred
- 2 years accounting experience in similar role; general ledger accounting knowledge

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
