Langdale Forest Products is a modern lumber manufacturing facility that primarily produces dimensional (2") lumber. Internal departments include the Sawmill, Continuous Dry Kilns, a Planer Mill, Shipping, Maintenance, Electrical and Fabrication Departments. Our production capacity is around 200 MMBF/year. JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Job Summary: Responsible for accurate records of issuing parts, supplies, etc. as requested.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
1. Accepts deliveries from suppliers, maintains log sheets on all deliveries received, and properly tags deliveries with labels. Also responsible for obtaining proper signature when issuing merchandise.
2. Scans delivered items into computer inventory and places in proper location.
3.Checks packing slip or purchasing order number when items are received to determine backorders, if any.
4. Labels and organizes inventory in specified locations of the storeroom and enters location in system.
5. Issues stock to various departments.
6. Scans storeroom debits and returns into computer to update inventory levels.
7. Responsible for obtaining tags for tools issued out of storeroom.
8. Responsible for present and on time for work each day.
OCCASIONAL DUTIES:
1. Performs housekeeping duties in storeroom as needed.
2. Performs any and all additional duties as required by management.
MANUAL SKILLS: *High school education or GED
*Valid class C driver's license
*Operating a forklift
*Computer skills needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: *Substantial sitting and standing required.
*Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a daily basis and up to 90 pounds on occasion.
*Must be able to climb a ladder to the height of 12 feet on a daily basis.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00pm - 6:00am
