What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Loan Servicer position at Langley Federal Credit Union?
Coordinates post-closing loan processing such as booking and servicing of all loans, including posting of payments and all applicable charges, statement generation, following up on documentation recordings and title policies, tracking and clearing of documentation exceptions, UCC continuations, application processing, and insurance tracking. Coordinates/manages loan closings for simple loans, as assigned. Acts as a backup to Commercial Loan Closer. Provides direct support to Commercial Lending Department.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Performs post-closing loan servicing and monthly billing.
- Performs post-closing follow-up on documentation recordings and title policies.
- Processes all draws, reductions, and payments on commercial loans.
- Prepares and processes loan payoffs and partial release quotes.
- Maintains electronic and physical files; scans and indexes documents into OnBase.
- Reviews executed loan documents for proper completion and follow-through.
- Performs closing and booking procedures on simple commercial loans.
- Performs daily PCFS/Core interface functions.
- Performs month-end procedures in PCFS, including monthly loan data entry and generation of reports using PCFS.
- Prepares and processes loan payoffs, partial release quotes, and records necessary releases with the courts.
- Completes monthly participation payouts, including running 1502 report portfolio reports, creating wires, and emailing reports to participants.
- Generates SBA Colson reports, checks for accuracy, and submits to the SBA.
- Works with multiple departments on the funding of the loan, participation payouts, and balancing of GLs in PCFS.
- Uploads loan information to OnBase after every closing.
- Assists with booking loans to PCFS/Core.
- Executes monthly billing posts payments received via the mail.
- Supports the department on loan servicing issues, research requests, and other questions that arise.
- Maintains proactive contact with member businesses and continues to develop positive relationships.
- Assists in departmental projects and other duties as assigned.
- Acts as a backup to Commercial Loan Closer.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent working experience and training.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with commercial and SBA loan transactions (Preferred).
- Previous experience in cross-selling financial products.
