What are the responsibilities and job description for the Islands Grounds & Venues Attendant position at Lanier Islands?
SUMMARY
The Islands Grounds & Venues Attendant is responsible for the general clean-up of the Resort, including inside buildings and venues, as well as outside on the grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning of offices throughout the resort
- Cleaning of restrooms, stocking of supplies
- Cleaning walks, grounds, picnic pavilions, and roadways on the Islands
- General pest removal, which includes spraying of bees, wasps, and ants
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR for 3 years.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to comprehend and communicate either verbal in English and non-verbal methods.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English and respond in writing
- Ability to read and interpret general business documents and governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and associates.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory Motor Vehicle report for 3 years.
