The Public Safety Officer will maintain the safety and security of their building by responding to emergency and non-emergency situations. The position involves maintaining confidentiality, conducting investigations, and ensuring proper communication with staff. This is a full-time role, requiring flexibility and strong decision-making skills.

Hourly rate based on CCLPI salary schedule. Previous equivalent experience may factor into placement, but most new hires will be placed at the base of the salary scale.

Qualifications - Education & Certification
- Minimum high school diploma plus some college coursework
- Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
- MCOLES certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification
- Previous law enforcement or security experience preferred
- Strong communication, investigation, and report-writing skills
- Ability to make quick decisions and maintain confidentiality
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls
- Supervise and investigate incidents, maintaining professionalism under stress
- Conduct thorough investigations and write detailed reports
- Apply state and federal law provisions and department procedures
