Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will install, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and power distribution. This position will also be working with the team to maintain Lantech facilities. The work schedule is subject to change, based on project needs. There is opportunity to be a member of an "on call" rotation once properly trained. This role must report all maintenance problems to the Maintenance Leader and is responsible for responding immediately to all "Urgent" calls and keeping Maintenance Leader informed of the status of "Urgent" tickets throughout the day. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will maintain the spare parts area and inform Team Leader of needed parts. This role is responsible for housekeeping in the shop and on the shop floor when work is completed (example: picking up rags, tools, parts, etc.). This position is also responsible for maintaining tool box and tools. As soon as possible, inform Maintenance Leader of any maintenance equipment in need of repair or missing. This role does not use any unsafe equipment or tools. This position will communicate status of maintenance tickets to Maintenance Leader and work overtime as needed and participative in "On Call" rotation once qualified and assigned. This Maintenance Associate will follow all Lantech safety procedures including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) every time associate is working on any equipment. This position will perform other duties as assigned.
What are We Looking For? (Requirements)
We are looking for someone who:
- Minimum of five years' electrical experience in a manufacturing, industrial or construction environment.
- High mechanical aptitude in trouble shooting electrical issues.
- Kentucky Journeyman License & familiarity with current NEC required.
- Work to be completed in a timely and quality craftsmanship manner.
- Must be able to work with only moderate supervision.
- Must have good attention to detail.
- Good customer service and customer (associate) interaction skills are required.
- Must work effectively within a team environment.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as workload dictates
Desired skills:
- Experience with PM processes a plus.
- Experience in PLC programming is a plus.
- Electrical conduit pipe bending ability a plus.
- Ability to operate articulating lift and forklift a plus.
Education & Experience:
- High school Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Kentucky Journeyman License required.
