Lantern Government Solutions is seeking dedicated and experienced Phlebotomists (Medical Technicians) for a full-time (40 hour per week) contract opportunity at the White River Junction Medical Center in Vermont. Join our team and support the health and wellness of our veteran community. About the Role:
As a Phlebotomist at White River Junction Medical Center, you will play a crucial role by performing blood draws and assisting with laboratory testing to help diagnose and treat our veterans. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and compassion will help ensure high-quality care in a respectful and supportive environment.
Your daily responsibilities may include:
- Obtain blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture from patients of various ages and health conditions including inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible, and timed draws.
- Perform sample processing and send out preparation.
- Properly identify patients and ensure accurate labeling of all specimens.
- Accurately enter patient information and test orders into the laboratory information system.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and analysis.
- Assist with specimen processing and handling as needed.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Delivers excellent customer service.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Available shifts are as follows:
- Day Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Night Shift: 8:30 PM - 8:00 AM
Each shift is 8 hours in duration. No on-call responsibilities!
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of recent Phlebotomy experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or ACLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certification in phlebotomy
