Position Summary
We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join Lantheus’ Corporate Tax organization. Reporting to the Tax Director, the Tax Manager has primary responsibility for direct and indirect state and local tax compliance. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter for this newly created role. This will be a hybrid role.
Essential Functions
- Oversee state income tax compliance, including tax returns, state tax apportionment, and nexus analyses
- Manage state and local income and sales tax audits and notices
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of state income tax workpapers
- Own all aspects of sales and use tax compliance process and act as a technical resource to cross functional teams on sales tax issues
- Serve as administrator of sales tax engine and maintain exemption certificates and lookup lists
- Responsible for timely filing of estimated tax payments and extensions
- Review SALT journal entries and tax account reconciliations; oversee tax compliance calendar
- Perform research and analysis of SALT issues impacting the business, draft technical memos
- Monitor domestic business activities and expansion for its impact on the Company’s state filing positions
- Identify compliance risks, propose mitigation strategies, and address issues proactively
- Support SALT aspects of quarterly tax provision and forecasting processes
- Oversee foreign indirect tax compliance
- Assist with federal and foreign income tax compliance as needed
- Prepare ad hoc analyses, analytical support, and assistance with other special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in public and/or corporate tax department required
- A bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA or MST preferred
- Significant experience in state and local taxation
- Intermediate level computer skills and modeling required
- Problem solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and data integrity
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high performance
