OVERVIEW
The Executive Director or Head of Market Access Strategy is a key leader in driving collaboration, strategic alignment, and integration with the various functions within Market Access, Commercial Franchises, R&D and Medical Affairs. This position will be accountable for developing market access strategy for Lantheus pipeline and supporting life cycle management.
This person will be an ambassador for instilling our cultural values and influential in recruiting, retaining, and developing talent to deliver better patient outcomes. It will also be the responsibility of this position to execute continued efforts towards enterprise resource planning to ensure long term sustainability of the business and improve our employee experience and productivity.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the VP of Market Access and Government Affairs
- Develop/align on the market access strategy for new products, focus on US market.
- Lead the development and implementation of all initiatives including the value and access, list, and net pricing strategies in collaboration with commercial contracting, and overall access to key payer archetypes.
- Develop and communicate robust market access strategies and plans, including development and clear articulation of the brands’ value story, and help to integrate them into the overall brand plan.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of all brand planning activities through active participation with the Senior Leadership Team across the Lantheus Portfolio
- Responsibility for all pre-launch research and communication to Senior Leadership Team outputs as well as key trends in pharmaceutical industry pricing, reimbursement, and market access, and develop initiative-taking strategies in anticipation of these trends.
- Recommend and implement various market access initiatives to collect and integrate payer/market insights to inform brand strategy.
- Support Payer & Market Access Field Team leader and their team members to develop recommendations for appropriate programs, tools, and communication materials to effectively address payers' needs to render informed coverage decisions, as well as an overall approach to therapeutic class management.
- Provide input all product development teams by informing them of pricing and market access potential.
- Present payer issues, opportunities, and recommendations to leadership stakeholders
- Work closely with finance, analytics, and patient services teams to identify and address product barriers to payer access and performance by applying an advanced understanding of, and experience with strategies and payer analytics.
- Influence Phase II - III development strategy based on the needs of the payer expectations.
- Maintain visibility of key US policy changes in a given 1–5-year period and ensure impact scenarios are captured in strategy recommendations.
- Manage market access launch budget and develop metrics to measure ROI against key initiatives.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- BS/BA required (science/business/finance), MS or MBA optional but preferred.
- 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry with demonstration of increasing responsibility, in some combination of health policy, reimbursement, marketing, and/or account management
- Strong background in Market Access/good understanding of the US healthcare market dynamics and evolving trends
- Demonstrated leadership of market access strategy in support of product launches
- Demonstrated managed markets/customer segment knowledge, inclusive of all major payer and commercial channels.
- Understanding of the applicable legal and regulatory environment
- Ability to navigate and lead organizational change and deliver results; take ownership and manage large scale transformation programs and execute on work-streams.
- Purposeful leader with ability to work in dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities, practical analytical person, and strong prioritization skills.
- Innovative, capacity to think through enterprise lens and forward thinker with good grasp of new technologies, competitive landscapes, and the regulatory environment.
- Strong collaborator and change agent with demonstrated experience in influencing stakeholders to support decision making processes.
Preferred:
- Experience in Oncology, including prostate cancer.
- Clinical and/or technical discipline knowledge (e.g., radiopharmaceuticals, theragnostic, treatment paradigms, and future trends)
- Experience in product launches and pricing and reimbursement process in non-US markets.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Routine overnight travel based on business need and frequent weekend work may be required. 50% Travel
