What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Readiness Support Assistance Specialist position at Laoch Services, LLC?
The contractor shall provide comprehensive outreach services to Soldiers, Families, and GS civilians assigned to 10th Mountain Division. These outreach services shall include Family Readiness Group (FRG) program delivery, increased awareness, partnership development, community mobilization, and outreach services with a focus of geographically dispersed Soldiers, Families, and GS civilians. The Contractor shall assist in administrative functions assigned by the Secretary to the General Staff.
The Contractor shall regularly coordinate with, be contacted by, or may directly contact Company, Battalion, and Brigade Commanders, Soldiers, Families, and GS civilians via phone or email to communicate Reference Resource and Referral Information requests.
The Contractor shall conduct information updates to ensure that any newly obtained information and referral resources (ASC, Chaplin, Salvation Army etc.) from the following list are disseminated to all, six (6) Brigades, thirty-seven (37) Battalions and the Division Headquarters and Garrison Command. IMCOM, Local Army Community Services Organizations, other branches of services or Government agencies, or Community Resources.
The Contractor shall maintain an information and referral resource list on excel that can be referred to when additional requests come to the contractor from Commanders and FRG leaders.
Contractor shall ensure old, outdated info is purged and that updated and current programs, services information and resources added are correct and current.
The Contractor shall maintain calendars and schedule meetings. The Contractor shall use available IT to schedule meetings, conference calls, Web-based meetings, and shall resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur.
The Contractor shall maintain a calendar of day-to-day and long-range projects, actions, activities, and appointments.
The Contractor shall conduct workgroups in person, and virtually, with FRGs, FRG Advisors (SR Spouses), Soldiers, Family members, and Commanders for program guidance and information distribution in unit Soldier, Family, and GS civilian.
The Contractor shall support outreach services, referral resources, SOPs, Family Program Manuals, and relocation resources being provided at each location.
The Contractor shall create and maintain distribution lists consisting of telephone trees and e-mail distribution lists to provide program information to FRGs, FRG Advisors (SR Spouses), and Commanders within the 10th Mountain Division.
The Contractor shall maintain regular telephonic/electronic contact with FRG leaders, Commanders, and installation ACS/Family Program staff for up-to-date information on Family readiness activities and issues.
The Contractor shall attend, in person or virtually, FRG and steering committee meetings, upon request, of the FRG, FRG Advisors (SR Spouses), or Commander.
The Contractor shall monitor unit volunteer records utilizing the Volunteer Management Information System (VMIS) to ensure volunteer activities are properly logged and recorded.
The Contractor shall accurately calculate and record their associated volunteer hours and support Family Programs Volunteer services in order to prepare and create volunteer awards. VMIS is available at the following website: https://vmis.armyfamilywebportal.com/.
The Contractor shall liaison with local and geographically dispersed Garrison agencies to schedule and coordinate briefings, orientations and workshops on Soldier and Family readiness topics. Topics will include Family Advocacy Programs Relocation Readiness, Employment Readiness, Financial Readiness, Exceptional Family Member Program, Emergency Assistance, and Education Services.
The Contractor shall prepare and distribute government approved written Family readiness information such as flyers, letters, calendars, and newsletters to publicize changes and updates relating to Family readiness programs to FRGs, FRG Advisors (SR Spouses), and Commanders within the 10th Mountain Division.
The contractor shall develop and distribute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding predeployment, deployment, re-deployment, and day-to-day Garrison Family readiness activities pertaining to, but not limited to, Family readiness training, pre- and re-deployment ceremonies, effective FRG information dissemination, and reintegration.
The contractor shall provide training to FRGs, FRG Advisors (SR Spouses), and Commanders on systems such as VMIS.

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
