Injection Molding Technician - 2nd / 3rd Shift Available
Qualifications, Education/Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- 3-5 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Computer literate.
- Familiar with problem-solving techniques.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of equipment, tooling, and processes used in injection molding manufacturing.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently.
- Strong troubleshooting and continuous improvement skills.
Principal Function:
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining 150-1300 ton molding machines, molds, materials, and related processes.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor and troubleshoot injection molding processes, making necessary adjustments to meet standard rates (labor, cycle time, scrap rate, etc.).
- Maintain safe and reliable manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers. Hot manifold and Yushin Robot experience is a plus.
- Optimize and troubleshoot complex injection molding processes using a variety of engineered and commodity resins on Bosch Van Dorn, and Cincinnati molding machines.
- Ensure presses are running at correct cycle times, in accordance with documented specifications.
- Accurately record process specifications in mold books.
- Perform thorough part inspections and make decisions based on part quality requirements.
- Investigate non-conformances and determine corrective actions to ensure successful molding of high-quality parts.
- Serve as the "Injection Molding Subject Matter Expert" for materials, injection mold tools, machines, and support equipment.
- Assist in daily production by identifying solutions to chronic issues that production associates cannot resolve.
- Meet with shift supervisor and other process technicians to discuss manufacturing floor issues.
- Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S), focusing on quality, safety, efficiency, and utilization.
- Continuously seek to improve work processes and individual performance.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including IATF 16949 compliance.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must adhere to all safe work procedures
- All positions require constant movement, continuous standing, excellent attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Previous factory experience and an excellent work history preferred
- Must Have Reliable Transportation
- Must be able to report to work without any absences for the 60-day probationary period
