Controller

Lapin Services, a prominent provider of plumbing, septic, and underground utility services in Central Florida, seeks a skilled Controller to lead our financial operations, ensuring precision in accounting, compliance, and financial strategy. This role is crucial for supporting our growth through financial insight, efficient processes, and thorough fiscal management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, collaborating with management for financial insights and forecasting.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning to align with company objectives.
• Lead audits, both internal and external, to validate compliance and accuracy in financial records.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Work closely with senior management to offer strategic financial guidance that supports company growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with accounting software (experience with QuickBooks preferred).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the company’s fast-paced environment.
