Summary: Under direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through consistent cycle counting best practices. They are required to be a liaison between Purchasing, Customer Service and Finance to investigate inventory discrepancies. This may include inter-company transfers, coordinating the movement of inventory, and reporting financial impacts of changes. This individual will also work closely with the Quality team to ensure that QMS tasks in their area of responsibility are being met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – include the following (Other duties may be assigned)
- Reviewing SAP Logistics Monitor and Inventory Control tools to ensure timely processing of inventory adjustments and other postings.
- Ensuring that scrap material is appropriately moved and adjusted out of inventory in a timely fashion in partnership with the Purchasing department.
- Oversee daily transactions affecting inventory and reporting the financial impact of those transactions including new purchases, receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
- Planning and executing accurate and timely cycle count to assure inventory accuracy.
- Publish monthly report reflecting the root cause of problems found during the cycle counting process and recommend solutions to alleviate issues in the future.
- Develop and maintain training materials and/or procedures for cycle counting and inventory control to maintain effectiveness and accuracy.
- Analyze inventory to resolve differences, identify problems, and make recommendations for continuous improvement, maintain inventory accuracy statistics, and report to management monthly.
- Coordinate with Logistics, Purchasing, and Quality concerning process improvements and procedures related to inventory.
- Monitors non-conforming areas, prepares and maintains non-conforming material report, and disposing of non-conforming product.
- Coordinate and manage customers’ non-conforming product returns (RGAs).
- Evaluate the overall planning process and make appropriate recommendations for continual improvement related to accuracy, capacity, and efficiency.
- Inspection of products to ensure that they meet quality standards and maintains inspection receiving reports.
- Creates vendor NCMR and Internal CAR for identified defects.
- Ensures that UL labeling practices are being followed.
- Communicate the results of all inspections and put forward corrective suggestions.
- Assist with the training and development of new and existing employees with a focus on inventory control and all aspects of warehouse operations including SAP

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 2-year degree or equivalent; and one to three years related experience and/or training.
- Familiarity with automated inventory control systems, including radio frequency (RF) and barcoding a plus.
- APICS certification (CPIM preferred)
Travel Requirements - Occasional travel to domestic warehouses may be required.
