What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at LAPP?
Summary:
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, this position is responsible for incoming inspection/receiving, picking, packing (order picking), processing value add orders, final inspection, and shipping of all products.
Responsibilities:
• Picks all orders regardless of shipping method.
• Process all orders.
• Runs respooler/cutter as required.
• Communicate with sales and purchasing.
• Incoming and outgoing inspection.
• Fills, packages, and ships orders.
• Verifies receipt of items on purchase orders.
• Stores and maintains products in their appropriate locations.
• Assists in loading and unloading deliveries and shipments.
• Assists with customer will call.
• Keeps all warehouse work areas clean and safe.
• Practice safety and quality programs.
• Willing to work overtime as required.
Requirements:
• Must be 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associates degree preferred
• Basic mathematical skills required
• Strong computer skills
• Forklift experience a plus
• UPS World Ship and Fed-X Ship Manager a plus
• Ability to work well with others and follow directions
• Oral & written communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Must be able to maneuver 75 lbs. on a regular basis
• This position regularly requires employees to stand, bend, walk, lift and reach
